Wholeness River Retreat is a precious piece of paradise in a very accessible location on the Thames Coast, Aotearoa NZ (90 minutes drive from Auckland).
Our Vision
This river retreat is perfect for seekers of the scientifically proven benefits of time in Nature. We consciously weave spiritual practice into daily life to create a harmonious environment. We are as organic as possible, developing biodynamic pastures and orchards. Here’s a deeper dive into our vision.
Become a Member
The easiest way to support us is with a tithe to our Fyodorov Library. We also collect books! Another way is to kiatiaki a biodynamic cow. We are also hoping to receive investment to realise the vision of CIELLO – centre for spiritual science & art
Home Sites
We currently have two locations for a tinyhome, or similar style moveable dwellings. We offer short and long term lease agreements. If you are curious to discover if this could be the place for you, please get in touch with us.
Landscape
33 acres of mixed pasture, manuka regrowth and established native forest bordering the Coromandel Forest Park. Wetlands and waterfalls. A stunning river is adjacent to our boundary. Several internal spring fed streams are available to gravity feed water. DOC track passes along the boundary and deep into the Coromandel Ranges.
We are establishing organic orchards and small vegetable gardens, adding biodynamic preps as we go. Volcanic topsoil graces this area. The land is suitable for grazing – we have a few biodynamic house cows. Manuka forests provide ample food for beekeeping. Rongoa maori abounds.
Buildings
There is an existing 60m2 1960’s cottage, Homehearth, which we currently use as the common house for several small cabins. There’s a yoga room, a workshop, a woodshed, a chicken garden, and a greenhouse envisioned.
Investment
Whether you’d like to tithe to our Library, kaitiaki a biodynamic cow, or invest in living on the land, we welcome your support! We’re non-commercial, simply living folks. This co-creation relies on the generosity of those who live here, and those who donate to create the vision of Wholeness River Retreat… and the blessings of the spiritual realms.
