Imagine an offgrid forest cabin… Whare Ngahere (forest home) is our offering to you for a peaceful getaway. Replenish yourself in Nature.
At the end of 5kms gravel road in the Coromandel Ranges… park up and walk 70 metres to your forest cabin, the last 15 metres climbing up steps thru the forest. Close enough to Homehearth (our farm cottage) for comfort, yet fully immersed in the bush. Easy access to river swimming spots and hiking tracks into the mountains.
Enough solar power to charge phones and small devices, plus 12 volt lights. Gas cooker and kitchen gear is supplied. A tap beside the cabin provides spring water.
Comfortable double mattress (just big enough for two), deck chairs, and a small library make it a cosy getaway. Don’t forget the compost loo! While there is reception for Spark/Skinny on the property, the cabin is a low EMF environment. You’ll sleep amazingly well. Please see the list below for what you’ll need to bring.
