CIELLO is located at Wholeness River Retreat – a precious piece of paradise in a very accessible location on the Thames Coast, Aotearoa NZ (90 minutes drive from Auckland). From the bustling town of Thames, head north along the coast, turn right and be immersed in subtropical rainforest as you drive along the river. After 5kms winding road, at 240 metres above sea level, you reach the retreat – refreshed from a passage thru Nature. The mountain air is fresh and clear.
This property is perfectly positioned for a rejuvenating retreat experience, bestowing the scientifically proven benefits of time in Nature.
33 acres of mixed paddock, Manuka and established NZ native forest bordering the Coromandel Forest Park. Wetlands and waterfalls. A stunning river flows along our boundary. Swimholes beckon bathing in a fascinating terrain of river laced with quartz and jasper. Several spring fed streams are available to gravity feed water. A hiking track delves deep into the Coromandel Ranges, reaching high peaks and extending north and south to the Pinnacles.
We’re developing 6 acres of biodynamic pasture with a small herd of milking Jersey cows. Our Orpington and Coronation chickens interweave with nascent organic orchards. We’re adding biodynamic preps as we go. Volcanic topsoil graces this area. The Manuka forests provide ample food for organic beekeeping. Rongoa Māori abounds.
Accomodation is available in several offgrid cabins. It’s a low EMF environment – wifi is available at certain locations. We already have simple, ecologically sensitive spaces for guests and students of spiritual science & art. Established camping places embrace humans in Nature, for the wild at heart.
Now we want to create the centre of this all – CIELLO – on a sunny plateau in the centre of this beautiful property. The quality built offgrid homestead is already there. We will purchase it from the builder. We ask for your assistance to make this Library and Learning Opus a legacy for spiritual scientists & artists to share, to grow, and to seed the Michaelic impulse for the 6th epoch.
All this is landing on the Coromandel Peninsula. A destination for travellers, with quartz crystal mountain ranges, beautiful beaches, supporting artisans in craft and food, we are truly blessed to live here.
